Ride on Toys

The Tek Nek Rock N’ Ride Pony is a great first rocking horse for your child.  This pony sits close to the ground to enable little ones to easily climb on and off.  It is recommended for children ages 18 months to 3 years.  This plush rocking horse makes sounds; he talks, sings “I’m a Little Pony,” and makes other fun noises.  There is an on and off switch to enable this feature, as well as an adjustable volume control. Parents really seemed to like these two attributes!  His mouth moves, as well.  Lightly touching the button in the pony’s ear will activate these features.

It is an ideal horse for toddlers, the parents of the children at our test session believed.  Plush rocking horses composed of soft material and fabric that is “child-cuddly” provide a cushion of safety for the adventures of toddlers.

This horse is 10.6 x 25.6 x 16.8 inches and weighs just 6.4 pounds.  The colors of the horse with the brown body, white nose, white between the pony’s eyes, the white of its chest and belly, and the white tail provided a color contrast that the test participants seemed to enjoy.  The hand holds under the pony’s ears are just right for little ones’ hands to grasp.

The body of Tek Nek Rock N’ Ride Pony is firmly and solidly attached with plastic to the plastic rockers.  The foot holds on the base of the rocking runners are designed with a pattern that makes it easy for little ones’ feet to grab hold and not slip off.  This rocking pony was designed to hold up to 65 pounds of toddler.

Plush rocking horses make excellent toys for little ones.  This is the beginning time to let imaginations soar.  As our staff saw in the testing sessions, there is no end to the ideas a little one can come up with when riding aboard Tek Nek Rock N’ Ride Pony.  And no end to the names that children came up with to name the pony.  There was “Fluffy,” “Rudolph,” “Bandit,” and “Harvey,” just to name a few.

Parents enjoy the thick, soft, cushiony material the pony is made of, as well as the smooth, rounded edges of the plastic parts.  This pony can be a good friend for your child.  The rocking motion can be soothing to little ones.  On one hand, it can give them an outlet for their pent-up energy, while at other times it can be just the soothing tool needed to get them ready for a nap.  Toddlers will feel confident when riding this little pony, just like they see bigger kids do.

Several parents mentioned they were glad to have a choice such as this little pony that wasn’t constructed of wood for their younger children.  The soft plush of the pony’s body and the solid, smooth plastic that holds the pony up has many pluses for younger riders getting their first taste of riding a “horsey.”
