Ride on Toys

This wooden rocking horse has a unique design that is meant to encourage balance and motor skills in young children.  It is manufactured in Thailand of all natural rubber wood that has been recycled.  It is rated for use by children ages 3 years to 5 years, and those were the ages of our test participants.

The Plan Toy Arabian has many features that parents will love, as well as their children.  The look and design transcends the heirloom rocking horses that may have belonged to grandparents.  The curves on this toy are fashioned after European contemporary styling.  The curves also have a practical function in that they are ergonomically designed to prevent accidental tip-overs by children who may get carried away with “riding the horsey.”

The colors of the Plan Toy Arabian are gentle to the eyes and pleasing to the senses in aqua/light blue and orange.  The curved runners are long, smooth, and also aid in offering a more even rocking motion while the child is riding.  Its design has specifically been constructed to help little ones utilize their coordination skills and build strength in arms and legs.  As well, the entire idea and motion of the toy works to enhance a child’s balancing skills.

The type of wood is made from is environmentally friendly, being certified by the Environmental Management ISO 14001 and 9001.  This won’t mean much to the tiny tots who just enjoy riding and rocking on this beautiful and soft, curving horse, but it will mean quite a lot to parents who are interested in purchasing environmentally friendly toys.  The rubberwood used to construct this type of wooden rocking horses is chemical-free and preservative-free.  They are dried in a kiln to avoid any pests or bacteria.  As well, no formaldehyde is used in the making of this toy and only soy-based ink was used.  Addressing environmental concerns is a growing issue with parents of small children, and the results of addressing these concerns will be important to the child, whether he/she knows it now or not.

Wooden rocking horses are often put to the test of quite vigorous rocking action by little ones, and the Plan Toy Arabian withstood all the testing our little participants could muster.  This rocking horse is a great asset to helping develop motor skills as well as providing an environment for fun and hours of joy.  Our staffers and some of the participants’ parents report that this wooden horse was well-packaged and easy to put together.

Among the test participants was a mother with a special needs child.  After the testing session and subsequent purchase of this toy, she reported back that she highly recommended this toy due to its ability to help with sensory issues.  Any child with mild sensory, muscular, or developmental issues is believed to have an advantage with this toy.  Toy horses, in particular this model, can be not only fun for your child, but can help with learning and possible developmental issues as well.
