Ride on Toys

Many of us, when we were little, loved to take an office chair that was on casters, get on our stomachs, and roll around on it, spinning as well, if we were lucky and it had the ability to rotate 360 degrees. For some reason, any sort of furniture that has casters on it make an instant child’s favorite, so it makes since that someone finally decided to put together a toy with casters in order to create a truly unique and fun toy: the Razor Powerwing.

The Razor Powerwing is a one that has broken the mold for scooters. It’s not often that we receive a product to review that is as unique as this toy is, and we were worried that we would have to figure out how to use it. When you first look at this Razor scooter, it looks like something that would come out of a science fiction novel. The front half is a classic scooter, but the back half looks like the end of an airplane, with two wheels on the bottom, each of which has a wheel on a caster on it. It takes a little getting used to, because unlike classic models, which everyone knows how to use, this is one scooter that doesn’t work the usual way.

In order to get this moving, you need to put your feet on the back of the scooter and then alternate your weight from one side to the other. As you do so, the scooter will start to move. The more you sway side to side, the faster the scooter goes. Then the real fun happens. As you’re moving, you can easily take this riding toy and do great tricks with it, including side drifts and kick outs! You can also go around tight corners without having to worry that you’re going to scrape your side or back on the corner, as you do with other scooters, because this scooter can go around a corner almost seamlessly.

Even though it moves easily, almost like a snake, it is made using a strong steel frame, making it very difficult to hurt or destroy it. And it takes is designed for children who are over the age of five, and anyone else who is under 143 pounds, but if you happen to have a 168 pound person gliding around on it, it will probably work well. It is not manufacturer-recommended for that, though. While we enjoy lots of different types of Razor scooters and love that they get children away from video games for a bit and into the fresh air, we all have sort of a soft spot for the Razor Powerwing simply because it is so unique and allows you to do so much. When the manufacturer says that this toy has unlimited trick potential, we can safely say that we, too, believe that the Powerwing can do more tricks than you could possibly think up.
