When you’re three years old and trying to keep up with your older siblings, it is natural to want to do everything that they can do. Quite often, though, a young toddler’s body isn’t equipped to be able to navigate and handle a scooter the way that an older child’s body is able to. Fortunately there is the Razor Folding Kiddie Kick. This is another scooter made by the geniuses at Razor, only this scooter is designed for the youngest members of the family.
At a quick glance you can tell that this scooter is designed for younger children. It has brighter colors, including a bright blue base and bright orange wheels and handle bars, and it has a much more child-like feel, which would put older children off but will appeal to younger children in an instant. Unlike other Razor scooters, this scooter has three wheels instead of two, and the back of the scooter is wider as well, making it easier for a little one to keep their balance and easier for them to avoid tipping it.
The rest of the scooter, however, has everything that you would expect and want from a classic Razor scooter and much more. The scooter has the larger polyurethane wheels that make it glide so well over almost any surface, both indoors and outdoors, but because it is designed for younger children, the tension is a bit tighter to keep it from going out of control. We found that children can still scoot around on the Razor Folding Kiddie Kick without any problem, but that they likely won’t be able to keep up with their older siblings, which is probably a good thing.

One of the nicest things that we found about the Kiddie Kick is that it has the patented handlebar folding system that has made Razor scooters so popular. With a quick flick you can fold down the handlebars, making it extremely compact and easy to carry. The switch isn’t so easy to push, however, that a young child could fold it down, keeping it safe from pinched fingers and accidents. We found that it was extremely easy to get the toy together, and in only a matter of minutes it was up and our little testers were scooting around. In almost all of our testers it was next to impossible to get them off of the scooter once they got on it.
The Razor Folding Kiddie Kick is not designed for older children, so it is a good idea to try to keep older children, those over 45 pounds, from riding around on it. Children under 45 pounds, however, can enjoy riding around on a safe kids scooter that is designed just for them, without the parents having to worry that they won’t be able to balance the scooter. It’s good to see that there is a company that is making sure that young children can get out and get exercise too.
