Razor Scooters

There are so many children’s toys out there that are designed for one age or another. It seems like just when you get used to one of your children’s toys, they are too old for it and you need to get new toys. There are very few toys which grow with your child. That’s why we were ecstatic to be able to review a classic type of toy that was not only a toy that would give children exercise, but also one that would grow with children and that could be used for a very long time. The Razor A2 Kick Scooter was definitely a toy that we wanted to review.

When we took it out of the box we were first surprised at how easy it was to put together. There were no screws to tighten, and nothing to attach. The majority of the toys we get have to be put together or untied or untwisted or something, but this toy was a piece of cake from the start. It arrived in a very easy-to-open box and the scooter itself sat neatly inside of it. In order to put it together all you have to do is to take it out of the box, fold the handlebars up, and snap the hand grips into place. After a few snaps, the toy is ready to be enjoyed!

And enjoyed it was. The Razor scooters we received were immediately snatched up by our testers and their children. They were ridden on a number of different surfaces, including concrete, pavement, and even wood, tile, and carpeted flooring inside of the building! While we found that it wasn’t as smooth of a ride over the carpet, it went so smoothly on any other flat surface that we could easily forgive that one issue (and it’s not really meant to be ridden on carpet anyway).

The A2 comes in a number of different colors, which is wonderful for families that have more than one child. Colors include blue, green red, and even purple. Any little girl would love to have a purple model to ride around the neighborhood. And with more than one color available, you’ll never have to worry about your children fighting over whose Razor A2 Kick Scooter is whose.

Best of all, in order to put the Razor scooters away, all you have to do is to fold them down. There’s a little switch on the side that you push down which allows the unit to fold down in a very compact way. It’s light enough that most children can easily carry it and can tuck it away underneath their bed without much effort. When they’re ready to play again, all they need to do is push the switch on the side and in just a minute or two, the scooter is ready to be ridden! And since the handlebars rise in height, and the weight limit is at 143 pounds, it can be used until they’re teens.
