One of the best parts of childhood is that you can just get dirty; you don’t care if you have smudges on your face or dirt on your clothes. In fact, that’s half the fun of playing. We think that more tweens, teens, and adults should embrace this philosophy: play, get dirty, have fun! The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket is the perfect toy for those who love serious fun. If you thought battery powered ride on toys were just for kids, the MX500 will prove you wrong – and you’ll like it.

Razor scooters appeal to users of all ages, and we were thrilled when their line expanded to include model. The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket is a scaled down dirt bike; if the MX350 is a first step into the world of dirt biking, the MX500 is the next step up. Motocross racing began in Europe, where races were huge outdoor events. It caught on in America, especially in the form of Supercross, which is held on indoor tracks with big obstacles: precision is key in Supercross, and the MX500 is designed with this in mind. The high torque 500w electric motor and 3 12 volt sealed lead acid battery system is made for maximum power. An added bonus is that the chain driven motor is very quiet – other dirt bikes are infamous for being loud gas guzzlers. This is not a problem with the MX500. While other electric ride on toys offer a “kid’s” version of a dirt bike, the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket gives you a genuine Supercross experience. From the authentic frame geometry, hand operated rear brake, and retractable kickstand to the pneumatic tires, this bike leaves other powered models at the starting line. In Motocross and Supercross, big jumps and precision turning are crucial; the MX500 can handle these with ease. The 16 and 14 inch tires are knobbed for maximum power and the dual suspension and riser handlebars keep the ride smooth so you can focus on the course, not whether or not your bike can handle it.

The MX500 is one of the fastest electric riding toys that we’ve come across. With speeds of up to 15 miles per hour, this is not your average mosey-down-the-street toy. You can go up to ten miles on one charge or up to forty minutes – this is great because a typical Motocross race is about forty minutes, and Supercross races are a bit shorter. You can practice, run a complete race, or just experiment with different moves. Recharge with the included charger for eight hours (about four hours less than other ride on toys), and you’re ready for more fun.
Razor scooters are renowned for their distinctive design features, and the MX500 is no exception. This bike is sporty, edgy, bold, and most of all, fun. This is what makes them so appealing to everyone from twelve year olds to their parents. With a weight capacity of 175 pounds, the range of potential riders is greatly expanded. Less expensive than Motocross or Supercross bikes, the Dirt Rocket will still let you experience the thrill of the race.
