The Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is a sturdy little jeep. It is tough and rugged just like its real vehicle counterpart. This model of battery powered ride on toys carries a driver and a passenger so your little one can take a friend along. During our test session, most of the children wanted to drive the jeep for themselves but eventually they began taking turns, driving and riding. It is fun to share time with a friend. With two children aboard, this electric riding toy can carry up to 130 pounds. It includes a 12-volt rechargeable battery. A battery charger also comes with the toy.
Like a real vehicle, the Rubicon comes with an area to store “stuff” as your child travels on one journey and then another. It also provides handles and grips to hold onto. Power lock brakes are a good feature, and the jeep can also be driven in reverse.

There is a screw that helps hold down the maximum speed of electric ride on toys such as this one for younger children. As your child gets used to the toy and gets a little experience under his/her belt, so to speak, the screw can be removed and this brand can travel up to 5 mph. That may not sound like much, but as our staffers watched it maneuvered around the test track, it can certainly seem fast.
The Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler Rubicon runs on a battery. After first purchasing and receiving the toy, the battery should be charged for 18 hours before its first use. Following these directions will ensure a longer lifetime for the battery. On the test track, the battery was really “road-tested” hard by our tiny tot participants, and our staff experienced only a couple batteries that needed to be recharged. Most battires held up all day. However, that was after hours of testing by a variety of children in a special situation. (It’s a good thing we had several jeeps on our test track!) Our staff estimates that with normal use each day, and nightly overcharging, the batteries will stay running and in good shape for a very long time. When taken care of properly, they can last a long while and enable your child to get lots of fun and use from just the one battery.
The boys and girls who test drove the Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler Rubicon were amazed at the muscle of this type of battery powered ride on toys. At the test track, we started the children, especially the younger children, off in the grass until this next generation of race-car drivers seemed to have the required actions down pat. These electric riding toys were observed to be tons of fun for the little ones they were meant to serve. As with any toy, especially moving transportation toys, adult supervision is a must. The recommended ages for this toy are 3 years to 7 years. All the spiffy components of these power wheels make it seem like the real thing.
