Electric

The Ford Mustang has been around for decades and is considered to be one of the most popular sports cars available.  With its convertible top, sleek lines and rear spoiler, it is very fast a little on the wild side.  So it’s no surprise that the Power Wheels Ford Mustang is gaining in popularity among kids and parents for all the same reasons.  It is just one toy in the ever  growing line of Power Wheels toys made for kids between the ages of two to six years of age.  Power Wheels are made by Fisher- Price specifically for young children, and their electric ride on toys are among the most trusted by parents for their safety features and their long lasting durability.

Unlike its adult sized counterpart, the Power Wheels Ford Mustang travels only at speeds that are considered safe for young children.  With a maximum speed of five miles per hour, there is also a parental high speed lock out feature that allows parents to “govern” the top speed to a mere 2.5 miles per hour.  This is a good cruising speed for beginners who don’t quite have the hang of the controls and for little ones who have never been on an electric ride on toy before.  There is also a reverse gear so that kids can practice backing up, and it increases the feeling that kids are really driving.  The Power Wheels Ford Mustang is equipped with a sound box that makes realistic engine revving sounds and a beeping horn sound, and the gauges and equalizer in the dash have lights to make you little one feel like a big driver.  Power Wheels toys include lots of neat extras, and this one is no exception.  There are cup holders inside so little drivers can take drinks on the road.  The side view mirrors are reflective and the wheels and front grille are chrome.  The Power Wheels Ford Mustang has a genuine finishing touch- the trademark pony grille that sets the Mustang apart from any other car.  Kids love electric ride on toys with all the extras, and they will love the wind in their hair as they drive this sporty convertible around the neighborhood- sticking to the sidewalks, of course.

As will all battery powered ride on toys, it is important to keep moisture out of the works.  The 12 volt battery is like any other battery in that moisture causes corrosion on the posts and the cables.  The corrosion can, at best prevent the toy from working until the battery is cleaned up, and at worst, can eat through the metal posts or cables, which means replacement of both the battery and cables.  When not in use, it is a good idea to store battery powered ride on toys in the garage or at the very least, under a tarp.  We also must agree with the manufacturer and recommend that kids should be constantly supervised when using electric ride on toys.  You just can’t be too safe.
