It seems a bit unfair to call the Peg Perego Gaucho Super Power an a simple riding toy; it is more like an SUV than a toy! Other battery powered versions offer a pleasant little ride and nice simulated features: the Gaucho Super Power has real working features, a ton of extras, and unlimited potential for fun. We are impressed by the craftsmanship of the entire line of Peg Perego toys and were excited to see if the Gaucho Super Power was as super as the name.
The first thing that we noticed – and loved – about the Peg Perego Gaucho Super Power was that it is designed for children age three to ten. It is so important when you purchase electric ride on toys that they be long-lasting: the Gaucho Super Power is a great choice for beginning riders all the way through advanced riders. The best part is that with all the features, the interest will last as long as the toy itself. This is not always the case with other electric ride on toys, so if you are going to invest in a toy, you should get the best. The molded plastic body is durable and able to withstand rough treatment, and the seats can be adjusted to grow with your child. This is great for a few reasons: one, your child can use this toy for years, and two, if you have multiple children of different ages, they can all enjoy this model. If your child is just beginning, the high speed lockout mechanism will give parents some peace of mind. When they gain some experience, they can enjoy each of the three speeds.

Other safety features include real rear disk brakes, a fully enclosed chassis, and “QuietRide” tires that grip the terrain and keep your child in control. These unique tires allow your child to go off road and explore grass, dirt, and uneven surfaces, and the rear shock absorbers keep the ride smooth and even. The Gaucho Super Power can handle inclines up to 17 percent. Your child will leave other battery powered ride on toys in the dust. Ultra high-performance motors operate both rear wheels, distributing more power to the vehicle.
When we test electric riding toys we look for durability, safety, versatility, and realism. The Peg Perego Gaucho Super Power has features that make it more of a vehicle than a toy. An electronic horn, padded seat covers, headlights, brake lights, and tail lights that actually work, and a real AM/FM radio and clock create a very realistic experience, as do the touch-sensitive, progressive accelerator and brake pedals. The accelerator is unlike anything we’ve seen on other electric models. Play seatbelts and a detachable tool box with play tools round out the package.
The Gaucho Super Power has a rechargeable 24 volt battery for power and hours of fun. Peg Perego toys are always among the most fun, versatile toys we review; the Gaucho Super Power is one of those toys that will be an instant and long-lasting favorite of any kid.
