Electric

We set out to test the Peg Perego Gaucho Rock’in and see if it was as rugged as it looks.  This electric ride on toy got two thumbs up from the toughest and most honest critics we could find, our kids.  Their tough day at the office included testing out the gears, riding over different types of terrain, and trying all the fun features.  While they loved the ride, we loved the safe and durable design.  These toys are the best of the best;  the Gaucho Rock’in lives up to the Peg Perego name and runs over the competition and is one of our favorite electric ride on toys.

Has your child outgrown other electric riding toys?  Is he bored of putting up and down the sidewalk?  Other battery powered ride on toys are great for beginners, but the Peg Perego Gaucho Rock’in offers some features for the more advanced rider.  Two speeds let your child choose how fast he wants to go, a more mellow 2.25 miles per hour for cruising and a speedier 4.5 miles per hour for racing.  A foot pedal accelerator and automatic breaks make starting and stopping easy.  A feature our testers loved was the reverse gear.  This added touch of realism increased their fun exponentially – and adds some extra challenge for budding drivers.  Kids love them because they can feel like an adult and have a measure of independence:  the Gaucho Rock’in offers realistic details like a working radio, lights, glove compartment, real seatbelts, adjustable mirrors, and even a storage compartment in the rear.  A tool kit and simulated CB radio create more creative play opportunities, and no kid can resist honking the working horn as they ride around.  There is even a working AM/FM radio.  A roll bar and faux red leather seats make this ride one that your child will love to show off.

Something else we loved about the Peg Perego Gaucho Rock’in was that its rugged 15 inch chrome rimmed tires allowed for all-terrain adventures.  Kids are not limited to the sidewalk as they are with some other electric ride on toys: they can go off road and drive on dirt or grass.  Rear suspension gives a smooth ride even on rough terrain, ensuring your child will ride in style and comfort every time.  The Gaucho Rock’in has two high-torque motors, which transfer a lot of power to the tires, making these trips a breeze.  The 12 volt provides all the power your child needs and can be recharged time and again for endless fun.

The durable plastic body will stand up to rough usage, which our kids tested personally.  Nothing is worse than buying a toy and having it break, unless it is buying a toy and having your child grow bored of it.  You can rest easy when you buy from this brand:  they will last as long as your child is interested, and that will be a long time.  Peg Perego revolutionized toys, when they discarded metal bodies in favor of plastic.  Hard molded plastic is very durable.  Unlike metal, which can rust and cause scrapes and scratches, plastic is smooth and will prevent injuries.  The body, wiring, motors, and gears are all enclosed, which makes the Gaucho Rock’in even safer. The Gaucho Rock’in is sophisticated enough to appeal to older children and yet easy enough for younger ones to manage as well.  With a weight capacity of 130 pounds, your child can even bring along a friend.
