The radio flyer fold 2 go xl trike comes completely assembled and ready to ride! As the name implies, when parents are ready to visit family or friends, or take their tiny tot to a nearby park, this trike easily folds up to transport. The fold-up design also makes it handy and convenient to store.

This radio flyer tricycle offers an optional push handle to give your child a little help in steering, and it folds easily into the back of the seat when not in use. During testing, the push handle was folded down and up several times, and it never missed a beat. The steering can also be locked so parent and child aren’t working at opposite ends of forces. The pedals are also “freewheeling” adding extra maneuverability and versatility for both child and the adult who is pushing the radio flyer tricycle. The push handle can also be adjusted to the adult’s height for added comfort.

Parents also loved the feature of the safety latch as it locks it in place and keeps your child secure. Radio flyer tricycles are constructed with quality steel that provides a sturdy durability to the toys. Manufacturers of the radio flyer fold 2 go xl trike know how important tires, and the tread on the tires, are. Therefore, tires were created to provide a smooth ride inside or outside. Testing on outdoor terrain proved the tires were well up to the task of offering a smooth and reliable ride.

This tricycle offers a “low center of gravity” and due to the controls of the turning radius of it, accidental tip-overs are almost unheard of. It was another check mark in the positive column for this trike when parents learned that it had been awarded the Seal of Approval by the National Parenting Center. As well, this tricycle won awards from NBC Today’s Toy Test and the Great American Toy Test.

The trike is rated for use by ages 18 months and up, and our staff and testers found that it would indeed make a good first tricycle. Little ones loved opening and closing the lid on the storage container attached to the trike as well. Small toys, stuffed animals, rocks, you name it and little children are going to find it and place it in the tricycle’s storage bin to carry around.

The colors on the radio flyer fold 2 go xl trike are bright and friendly, and our staff couldn’t help thinking that added to the smiles on the children’s faces as they rode around. The handlebars are comfortably angled with red-and-white tassels streaming down that children enjoy looking at and playing with.

The company that manufactures this tricycle has been in business since 1917 with a name that is familiar and trustworthy, Radio Flyer. Parents have stories about the radio flyer toys they remember playing with as a child, and that is an added bonus to the purchase of this tricycle.

This is the ultimate transportation toy for kids and parents alike. A removable stroller attachment allows parents to retain control of the toy with a push handle when going for a stroll. When an adult has control of the stroller, the front wheels can easily be steered. Or, your child can steer himself/herself. Steering a tricycle is one of the hardest things for little ones to get under control, so it can really be helpful for an adult to assist in the steering of the radio flyer trike, at least in the beginning, with the child’s hands on the handlebars. This can help your child get an idea of how to steer the wheel, and by steering the wheel in a certain direction, the radio flyer tricycle will move in that direction, and your child will learn that motion.

When testing, it was about 50/50 between the child wanting the canopy up or removed. The canopy can provide shade and protection from the sun on a hot day, or it can be removed to let the wind blow through and the sun shine on your child at the beginning of a ride. The canopy can always be added to protect your child from receiving too much sun later in the day.

The canopy steer & stroll trike also offers an adjustable seat so that the tricycle can grow with your child. The seat is also fitted with a strap to help hold your little one on. It is rated for use by those aged 2 to 5 years and throughout our testing session, those ages seemed to fit the best with this tricycle. However, children closing in on age 5 might be ready sooner rather than later for another version of the tricycle.

Tires are another good feature that always seems to be provided by these great toys. They are made of durable rubber and provide a smooth and quiet ride whether indoors or outdoors.

The radio flyer ultimate canopy steer & stroll trike has a wonderful yellow storage container, with lid, for your child to carry “stuff.” All kids like to take “stuff” from one place to another. It is ideal for that task. As well, there is a bell that rings and chimes announcing your little one’s arrival. Kids like to transport stuff almost as well as they like to ring the bell on the tricycle, so our experts found.

Parents were pleased to hear that this toy has won awards from the Great American Toy Test and the Parent’s Choice Approved Award. This, along with the knowledge that the manufacturer is the famous “Radio Flyer” company that has been designing and making toys since the early 1900s, gives parents that little extra comfort that the toy can be trusted and is reliable. The radio flyer ultimate canopy steer & stroll trike is one in a succession of meritorious toys constructed by the same set of standards as the radio flyer red wagons, among a number of other successful toys.

This toy is as exciting to see being pedaled around the sidewalks as it is to drive first-hand, so our staff says. When we got a group of 2 to 5 year olds together to test this toy, the radio flyer classic red dual deck tricycle was the hottest thing going. There’s something about the color red that kids just love. It’s bright and it says, “I can go fast!” Well, not too fast, parents, not to worry – it will just seem to your youngster that they are “riding the wind.”

With red streamers dangling from the handlebars and a bell, it is reminiscent of the classic tricycle version. Parents familiar with the name, Radio Flyer, will note that many happy memories were created aboard a toy made by this famous company. Radio Flyer is a name that carries trust in transportation toys for young children.

During the testing, it was noted that some two year olds had a little difficulty in reaching the pedals, depending on their height. Parents should keep that in mind when thinking of purchasing this radio flyer classic red dual deck tricycle. Having said that, though, this is a toy that your child can grow into and that will last for several years.

One of the features that the kids took to right away was the dual deck – that extra step in back of the trike that allows little ones to easily reach the seat. The seat is smooth and the kids slid into it quite easily and off they went in the dual deck tricycle. The seat is also adjustable to grow with your child.

Another favorite feature our staff noticed is the bell. Kids LOVE to ring the bell as they are riding along. The tires on the radio flyer tricycles are made of rubber and, therefore, are durable for outdoor use, even in rugged terrain. Of course, young children should always be monitored when riding a tricycle outdoors or uneven ground. An adult should always be nearby to offer assistance if needed.

The handlebars of it are coated with rubber and the children all seemed quite capable of grasping them with full force to steer the tricycle. Between the easy-to-grasp handlebars and the durable rubber tires, the radio flyer classic red dual deck tricycle seemed amazingly easy for the youngsters to navigate.

While the kids didn’t slow down during the testing to lend much importance to the statement that this trike has won the National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval, and the Parent’s Guide to Children’s Media Award, and the Parent’s Choice Classic Award, parents took notice as they watched their little ones riding the beautiful, classic tricycle around the testing area. Tipping is one thing to watch out for when your child is turning corners. If the handlebars are turned too sharply or too quickly, there is always the possibility of a tip-over. Adult supervision is part of normal protection in childhood play. The tires on the tricycle held up quite well when the testing moved to an outdoor venue and the steel construction of the toy proved to hold up well also under extensive testing.

Our child testers put the radio flyer fold 2 go tricycle to the test, and the trike survived! This model has proven to be one of the sturdiest and well-made of the transportation toys. The seat has been designed for extra comfort and added stability to the back. Rubber handlebar grips make it easy and comfortable for kids to securely hang on while riding the trike.

Recommended for age 18 months and older, the fold 2 go tricycle looks to be the ideal “starter” tricycle for tiny tots. It is well-made and comes in primary colors that are friendly and bright. One of the best features, perhaps, and one that parents are sure to love, is the fact that the tricycle comes fully assembled and “ready to ride.”

Another nifty feature of this radio flyer trike is the bright yellow storage container. Kids can put dolls, trucks, cars, stuffed animals, play tools, and a wide assortment of gizmos and gadgets in the storage bin attached to the back of the tricycle. Little ones love hauling toys, and all kinds of items around.

It was also easy to wall-mount for space-saving storage as evidenced by our staff and the kids’ parents removing the fully assembled trike from the wall to the ground, and back to the wall. As well, the very name – radio flyer fold 2 go tricycle – indicates the portability factor which kids and parents alike are sure to love. This tricycle is easy to fold up and go. It will travel well to entertain your child from place to place, and can provide your child with a familiar toy in perhaps unfamiliar surroundings. Obviously, caution should always be used when allowing your child to ride a toy in places he or she may not be familiar with.

Riding indoors, they won’t scratch surfaces as the wheels are made of rubber that is durable and offer a good solid tread. They also enable a smooth ride for your child and it’s a quiet ride – until the bell starts announcing the entrance of your tiny tot! Kids LOVE to ring bells on tricycles, and this radio flyer trike is no exception. When the testing moved to an outdoor area, the heavy duty rubber tires with treads proved their durability with high scores from all involved participants! (and the ringing from the bells were still noticeable!)

Also noticed during testing was the fact that this tricycle sits low enough to the ground to prevent accidental tip-overs. As kids got used to riding/driving the radio flyer toy, they tended to start rounding the corners a little faster. This version of the tricycle was designed to prevent the turning radius from getting out of control.

Most parents will remember the history behind the company, Radio Flyer, which began in 1917 and become famous for its red wagons. The company has a solid reputation throughout the toy industry and with parents who remember earlier toy versions. Our testing showed every reason for trust in this company to have been earned and maintained.

The radio flyer tricycle is a great fit for kids whose feet can’t quite reach the pedals yet. This radio flyer classic red tricycle with push handle gives little ones all the momentum they need to get the trike moving easily. The seat was at just the right height for most of our two-year old testers to be able to push this 10-inch trike around with ease.

The handlebars on radio flyer tricycles are nice and wide to aid in the ease of a toddler’s grasp. The grips help the kids hold on tight. There’s a step on the back, too, that allows for passengers. Tiny tots love to pedal and push the radio flyer classic red tricycle with push handle along while a friend and playmate is riding on the back. Parents will love the push handle on the back as this helps kids ease into eventually riding a one on their own. In the beginning, however, parents can guide and control the movement and direction of the toy.

While the little ones playing with the radio flyer trikes didn’t exactly pay 100 percent attention when we told them that their toy had been bestowed with several awards, the ears of their parents perked up at the announcement that this tricycle won the Best Classic Toy Award from Dr. Toy.

One of the best features on the trike is that the push handle can adjust to three different comfort level positions and it is also removable. The seat is adjustable and during testing, our staff easily adjusted the seat position to fit those children who were a little taller or a little shorter than average. This also bodes well for the trike to be able to grow with the child.

When we took the radio flyer classic red tricycle with push handle outside for an “all-terrain” evaluation, we were pleased to find that the rubber on the wheels is very durable and still provided for a smooth ride for the youngsters, even on rocky terrain.

While the children testing the tricycles, ranging in age from two years to four years, noticed the gleam of the chrome handlebars and the fascinating red color of the trike, most were more enthralled with how the tricycle “cornered” around the sidewalks. They were concerned more with the action, but some of the future sports car owners also had an eye for the sturdy steel construction and gleaming chrome, you could tell.

For many parents, the “Radio Flyer” name has a feeling of nostalgia and it harkens back to the early 1900s and the many memories made with those first little red wagons. Red seems to be a good color of choice for kids – it is bright and it gets their attention. It is sure to make good memories for your child. As with any toy, especially for a younger child, when you are first trying it out, make sure an adult is available to watch over your child as they get a feel for this new toy.

One of the best features of the schwinn roadster tricycle is the ease and comfort for kids of getting on and off the trike. The back of this schwinn tricycle has a wider design, and with the addition of the seat sitting lower to the ground, this makes it easier for little ones to get on and off the toy. The wide back frame helps to firmly hold the seat upright and also gives the toy stability to guard against accidental tip-overs.

The sturdy front and back tires are filled with air to provide the child with a smoother ride. The tire in front is 12 inches and the back two tires are eight inches each. The shiny chrome fenders resting above the tires adds to the elegant look of the trike. Children are drawn to shiny and brightly colored objects. The frame which the tires carry is composed of durable heavy-duty steel providing a solid foundation for your child to ride/steer the toy. It is available in three colors: red, blue, and pink. During the testing session, all three colors were chosen by the participating children.

The bucket seat on the schwinn roadster tricycle can easily be adjusted without any tools to five different positions offering maximum comfort for the child. The trike has been rated for use by children ages 3 years to 6 years. An important feature on this schwinn tricycle is the pedals. The pedals provide a good grip with rubber accents that help keep the child’s feet snugly in place while pedaling. As well, the handlebars offer sturdy gripping ability and the ends of the handlebars are raised to help ensure a child’s hands stay in place while driving/riding the toy. The curved nature of the handlebars also seems to maximize the comfort for little ones’ hands, holding onto the trike. Parents can adjust the handlebars with a wrench if needed.

The children participating in the staff’s testing session showed a penchant for ringing the bell. Corners were being rounded, bells were ringing, tassels flying – it was clear the children were enjoying them.

To add even more style to this retro-looking schwinn roadster trike, a wooden deck behind the bucket seat has the Schwinn logo burned in. Schwinn, the manufacturer of this tricycle, is synonymous with American culture and quality. The company was established in 1895 and has a solid reputation that parents know they can rely on for quality and durability.

The testing session found safety of it to be a huge plus, as one little girl decided to stand in the seat and turn the wheel, and still yet the trike did not tip over! Our staff, and a few adventurous parents, found this trike easy to assemble, even for those not having much prior assembly experience. The one thing that parents should remember about this tricycle is that the tires are filled with air and are not plastic. Therefore, the tires might need some extra air pumped into them from time to time. With that said, air-filled tires tend to provide a smoother ride and much more closely resemble the feel of a “grown-up” bicycle.

Not all tricycles are the same: there is definitely a hierarchy when it comes to these three-wheeled staples of childhood, and the John Deere Mighty Trike is at the top of our list. This is a unique-looking toy that will captivate your child for hours as they ride around the driveway or sidewalk. This is a great toy for beginning the process of learning to ride a bike; it’ll make your little kid feel like a big kid.

When you are in the market for a tricycle, your biggest concern is safety. Are these toys safe to put our children on? In the case of the Mighty Trike and other John Deere ride on toys, the answer is a resounding “Yes.” The Mighty Trike has a rugged, indestructible tubular steel frame that won’t bend or break even when subjected to the rough use typical of young children. The rear tires measure 10 x 3.5 inches, while the front tire is 15 x 4 inches. They are made of inflatable rubber with enough tread to handle various terrains and durable steel rims that are built to last and last. Once your child masters the driveway, she can branch out onto grass, gravel, or dirt. It can handle it, meaning your child has far more play opportunities. Many tricycles are very tipsy, and young children often experience spills and falls. While bumps and bruises are a part of an active childhood, they won’t come from the tricycle. The sturdy, wide wheel base and frame will help keep your child upright as she learns to ride. She’ll love the feeling of being able to ride when and where she wants. As important as the fun that the Mighty Trike brings is the sense of independence it helps to foster.

John Deere riding toys are so versatile and fun that your child will love playing with them for years; this is why they design their toys to grow with your child. It has an adjustable seat and handlebars to accommodate growth spurts or younger, shorter children. They won’t grow out of the John Deere Mighty Trike for quite some time, meaning you have less expensive toys to buy.

John Deere offers parents a great way to give their child a quality product that will last and that doesn’t break the bank. The Trike is an excellent and economic choice – and let’s not forget the fun your child will have. Every child wants to ride a bike; it’s a great rite of passage. The Trike will give your child the experience and confidence he needs to move to the next level.

Like all John Deere ride on toys, it has the distinctive green and yellow colors that mark it as an authentic John Deere product. You can be sure you are getting the very best. We all want our children to have opportunities to play creatively and also get physical activity: this Trike will help them do both.

This sturdy-made trike was designed to accommodate little ones from 12 months through 6 years of age. It’s hard to imagine that time span for a toy tricycle, but once you see the radio flyer classic tiny trike in action, you’ll understand why. Although many 6-year olds will have graduated to another version of the popular transportation toy by that age, this trike can still be a functional toy for them.

The solid wood body is a thing of beauty and offers stability and support to ensure the balance and safety of the radio flyer tricycle for little ones. Our staff noticed the additional support given by the extra wide base between the two front wheels as the tiny tots pedaled around the testing area. The seat is padded for comfort and it sits low to the ground so that if the child managed to fall off, he/she wouldn’t “really” fall, but just kind of “roll out” of the tricycle. No worries about serious injuries there.

The radio flyer classic tiny trike has been around for 25+ years and innovations have been added by the company during each production. The handgrips are now “ergonomically” designed for a better grip by the child. Little hands stay easily on the handlebars to retain driving/riding control.

There were a couple of children in the testing group who were not quite 12 months yet, but within a week or two. One girl was a little taller than her age percentile, and the tiny trike fit her perfectly. As well, 3- and 4-year olds also had success with driving/riding the radio flyer tricycles around. It has proven to be a good, solid transportation toy for kids of several age groups. Its sturdy construction makes it easy and safe to support the growing weight of your child.

On the other hand, if your child is older and taller than the average percentile category, he/she may find their legs are too long to comfortably fit on the pedals. You may wish to consider another model of radio flyer trike. However, some taller kids at the testing session were just as comfortable moving the trike along with their feet as opposed to pushing the pedals. They still enjoyed the comfortable seat, easy gripping handle bars, and, of course, the chiming bell announcing their arrival! Bells were ringing and handlebar streamers were dangling and flying all over the testing area. Kids sure can have fun with this great riding toy.

Radio flyer has been in the business of providing classic transportation toys for kids since 1917. The company has earned the respect and trust of parents, and their toys have received many national awards as well. This tricycle is one of the classic models, and it has proven to be constructed of superior quality and durability. Our testing staff saw nothing in the test sessions that would change this point of view. The well-built rubber tires provided a smooth ride in outdoor terrain as well as indoor.

The radio flyer twist trike is a versatile toy. It is actually two toys in one. This radio flyer trike can be “flipped” or transformed into a “chopper” as well as being a tricycle. It has been rated for children between the ages of 2 and 7 years; however, before complete assembly of the trike has been obtained, it is recommended to keep all parts away from children under the age of 3 as there is a potential for choking hazard.

This radio flyer tricycle has an adjustable seat so that it will easily grow with your child for continued use and enjoyment. During testing, it was found that children ages 2 through 4 enjoyed the tricycle formation the best, while ages 4 through 7 really got into riding the transformed “chopper.” Given that it is two toys in one, it can really grow with your child and change looks upon request. It was also noted that children ages 4 through 7 could easily flip the tricycle into a chopper by themselves. It is a “quick release” mechanism that allows the “twist ‘n lock” feature to work. Parents can easily manipulate it, but kids are smart and they will be able to transform the radio flyer twist trike on their own, if parents deem that an appropriate situation.

Both styles of the toy enjoy solid molded and sturdy construction which makes keeping the trike/chopper upright easy. The turning radius is designed for stability. Radio flyer tricycles are manufactured with safety and quality in mind. The company has been proving this in the design of its toys since 1917 and the creation of the infamous little red wagons.

The radio flyer twist trike, sitting low to the ground, provides a comfort level for parents who might worry if the child were to fall off. In the case of this radio flyer trike, it would be more like rolling off as the ground isn’t very far away and no serious injuries would be expected to occur. The tires are sturdy and the front tire has a tread that grips well to the ground. The back tires on the trike are wider than the front tire adding to the stability of the toy.

The manufacturers offer some helpful tips for this radio flyer tricycle including the fact that children should always be wearing shoes when riding the tricycle. All our test participants were wearing shoes at the time of the trials so no side effects from bare feet were noticed. As well, continuous supervision by a responsible adult is always recommended, especially with transportation toys. The testing venue our staff utilized was indoors, with an outdoor area as well, but the areas were, of course, not close to where “real” motor vehicles were located. It is important for adults to remember to keep the children and their radio flyer twist trike away from any possible motor vehicle hazards. With these precautions in mind, your child should have several years of fun and entertainment from this dual purpose toy.
